ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

Job description

As an ENGAGEMENT MANAGER (EM), you will be the senior-most, day-to-day ER team member for a given large scale client. You will have responsibility for leading engagements & growing relationships for your client(s). In this role, you will lead a delivery team responsible for a portfolio of client projects, ensure ER work delivers client value, and create/nurture client relationships.

Your primary responsibilities are:
Engagement Leadership:
Project Oversight:

  • Advise on project scope and strategy to ensure alignment with client needs & to deliver business value, contributing thought leadership and hands on execution as appropriate
  • Ensure use & development of IP on engagements
  • Ensure work product quality and relevance to client strategy & business value
  • Identify and manage risks and issues, escalating as needed

Portfolio Management:

  • Establish project operational parameters (e.g., budget, staffing)
  • Ensure projects meet ER financial goals (e.g., revenue, costs, and margin)
  • With the Practice Lead, execute client business development plan: identify, qualify, and propose on opportunities
  • Grow client relationships by identifying incremental high-value, strategic opportunities to further drive impact

Client Management:

  • Ensure client satisfaction and create positive references, employing a consultative approach – solution-oriented and able to advocate for point of view using data & analysis
  • Establish or maintain relationships with key stakeholders required to enable execution of projects such as client COEs, Agency Partners, Vendors
  • Establish or maintain relationships with key decision makers that drive business development
  • Identify opportunities and generate leads

Team Management:

  • Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment
  • Support firm capability development e.g., recruiting, training, and service offerings
  • Contribute to the IP repository and knowledge bank by preparing market insights, customer insights and white papers
  • Recruit and develop the next generation of ER consultants & leaders

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university; advanced degree or MBA is preferred
  • 10 – 15 years of work experience in life sciences marketing strategy in a corporate or consulting capacity with notable depth of experience in digital strategy
  • Distinctive record of professional leadership and outstanding performance track record
  • Prior experience working with qualitative and quantitative research

Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead teams, motivate others, gain the respect of clients and colleagues
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with outstanding business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills: processing & presenting complex information clearly and simply
  • Expert in Marketing Strategy with a focus on digital professional strategy for life sciences, including identification of high priority targets, business value drivers, and KPIs

CONSULTANT, DIGITAL HEALTH FOCUS

Job description

As a CONSULTANT, you will work as part of a project team helping our clients solve marketing problems from strategy to execution, driving high-quality, analysis-driven marketing deliverables. You must have strong analytic, synthesis and communication skills and be comfortable operating in ambiguous situations with little direction. You are experienced in developing digital health strategy and executing programs, particularly in areas such as digital therapeutics, telemedicine, big data/advanced analytics as well as connected health and wearables. Expect that you will work on multiple projects simultaneously.

As a Consultant, your primary responsibilities are:
Project Delivery:

  • Work with team leadership to define project scope and approach
  • Drive project execution, focused in digital health, including analysis of complex data into meaningful insights, applying ER analytical frameworks, and developing and communicating recommendations to clients
  • Manage risk and ensure leadership is kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
  • Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
  • Ensure your activities & deliverables align to expected timeframes & budget

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university; advanced degree or MBA is a plus
  • 5-8 years of work experience in life sciences marketing strategy in a corporate, consulting, or agency capacity with a focus on digital health
  • Prior experience working with qualitative and quantitative research; experience working with Lean UX research is a plus

Skills:

  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills and strong business acumen
  • Experience applying structured approaches to address business problems
  • Good communication skills: processing and sharing complex information clearly and simply
  • Excellent data analysis skills using Excel or statistics software to generate insights as the basis for strategic recommendations
  • Knowledgeable Pharmaceutical digital marketing channels and KPIs

  • Experience using HCP datasets to develop campaign targeting (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony)
  • Extensive knowledge of non-personal promotion & multi-channel marketing vendors & offerings across program types (websites, HCP CRM, IVAs, eMail, third-party programs, search, display, social, mobile)
